Safety & Child Protection

The safety of students - especially children - comes first on TutorBee.

How we verify tutors

  • Every tutor must upload a government ID and a CV before review.
  • Tutors do not appear in search and cannot be contacted until our team verifies them.
  • Verified tutors carry a โœ“ Verified badge.
  • We can suspend any tutor at any time if a concern is raised.

Guidelines for students & parents

  • For under-18s, a parent or guardian should arrange and supervise lessons.
  • Start with an online session or meet in a public place before any home tuition.
  • Keep early communication on the platform; don't share home address or personal details too soon.
  • Never send money or deposits outside agreed lesson fees.
  • Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, stop and report it.

Guidelines for tutors

  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times, especially with minors.
  • Where possible, teach in the presence of a parent/guardian or in a public/online setting.
  • Provide accurate information about your identity and qualifications.
